There’s nothing like coming home, after a long day at work, from running errands, chasing your kids or even from being on vacation and laying in bed. Unless, your bed is uncomfortable and not made for your body.

This is an issue for many, including me. There wasn’t a week that would go by where I wasn’t complaining about how uncomfortable and unsupportive my bed was. There’s no one mattress that is perfect for every body. It can be especially hard to find one that is suited for bigger bodies.

When Big Fig reached out to partner with me, I immediately started doing my research. “A Mattress For A Bigger Figure”, that was the first thing I see when I pull up the website. Finally! A mattress that is made with bigger bodies in mind. I’ve been sleeping on the mattress for 30 days and can’t wait to share my initial thoughts.

Assembly

How a king size mattress fits inside a box is mind-blowing to me. We took the mattress out and let it sit for 30 minutes before getting on it, as instructed. In the mean time, I set up the wooden foundation which let me tell you, was so easy to assemble. NO TOOLS NEEDED! I set up the metal frame, put the foundation on and with Boo’s help, placed the mattress on top.

First Impression

After the first night’s sleep, I knew I had made the right decision in getting rid of our old mattress. Big Fig mattress is firm while still being comfortable. The mattress topper is made with a ThermalGel Cooling Technology which actively cools your body temperature. You can read more about the construction and details of the mattress here. The foundation is extremely sturdy and supportive. I am so impressed with the details. It’s meant to support up to 5 times the weight of a typical foundation.
