Polar Fitness watch Review

Fitness watches have come a long way since the late 90’s. Not only do they track your heart rate and your workouts, they do so much more and have become a lot more stylish.

Ever since receiving my Polar Ignite 2 smart watch, I have been wearing it non stop. Polar is the pioneer when it comes to heart rate monitors, so there’s no doubt their smart watches are very impressive. This is my first fitness watch, I can see why there’s such a hype around them. Let’s get into some of the details.

Features

  • Allows you to control music
  • Long battery life
  • Personalized guidance for workouts
  • Built-in GPS
  • Sleep tracking
  • Reports weather
  • Displays heart rate
  • Breathing exercises and more!

When it comes to tracking your health and fitness, this device is great for all fitness levels. From experienced athletes to someone starting their fitness journey (me!). Since I work from home full time, this watch is a great reminder to get up and move around. We go on family walks more often now. Which are not only great for our health but also to get us off our devices.

A feature that I have been extremely impressed with the nightly sleep tracking. I’ve always considered myself a light sleeper and now I have the proof. It breaks down how much deep, light and REM sleep you had along with any interruptions. I hardly get any deep sleep. Now, I am trying to get to bed earlier, get off my phone and allow my mind to calm down before going to sleep.

Another feature I have recently tried is the Serene feature. I wanted to rest during the day and Serene™ helped me to do so with breathing exercises.

Additionally, you are able to sync it to your phone. The Polar Flow app allows you to see all the details that the Polar Ignite 2 records. You can also receive phone notifications and control you music right from the Polar Ignite 2.

Polar Ignite 2 is also customizable to your unique style! It comes in a gold & champagne, storm blue, rose gold & pink and black pearl – which is the color seen in my pictures. I also have their accessory wristband that’s made with real Swarovski® crystals.

The battery life is amazing. As I mentioned previously, I’ve been wearing it nonstop. I charge mine every 3-4 days, even though it’s still has enough battery life for another day or two.

Thoughts

Overall, I’m really impressed with the Polar Ignite 2, specifically the sleep tracking, breathing exercises from Serene™ & 24/7 wrist-based heart rate tracking. I haven’t even begun to use it to its full potential. If you are not already following me on Instagram, make sure to head over to enter to win your own Polar Ignite 2!
