Texas Travel | Texas Tulip Fields

There’s a little piece of Holland in Texas and in late February! Texas has so many beautiful wild flowers in the spring but just outside of San Antonio and Dallas, you’ll find beautiful Texas Tulip Fields. The season is short, so I wanted to make sure to get this post up, in case you are interested in going.

I went to La Vernia, TX, northeast of San Antonio during the last weekend in February. The tulips were beautiful. If you are trying to capture some great pictures, I would suggest going earlier in the season. By the time I went, a lot were picked over. The season is now closed at this location. I was able to go at the tail end.

Admission: Parking is Free, $5 per person to get in and $2.50 per tulip

For more info, check them out here.

They will wrap the tulips and add a jelly to the bottoms to preserve them. When you get home, just rise off the jelly and cut the tips. Our tulips lasted about a week with very little care.

This is definitely worth checking out in my opinion. The earlier in the season, the better. The Pilot Point, TX location just north of Dallas is open until the end of March from 10 AM to 8 PM. Perfect for spring break! Happy Spring!

XO, Em

  2. I’ve been itching to go to a tulip farm but I don’t think there’s any in the Boston area – I’ll have to see if they have one in New England somewhere! Love your outfit.
