Hey Babes! I recently became a big coffee drinker. If you follow my Instagram Stories you would have seen my recent obsession. I also acquired a taste for red wine. The combination of coffee and wine can only equal one thing, stained teeth. So when Smile Brilliant reached out to me to test their at home whitening system, I did my research and gladly agreed.
When I was younger, I loved my smile. I have pretty big teeth (I get it from my mom). People would ask me if I had braces as a kid (I didn’t) or what I used to whiten them. I had tried whitening strips but I do not like them at all. They don’t stay on and they make my teeth so sensitive. I would feel a sharp pain while wearing them. I also tried the LED lights at my local mall. That was a waste of money. Fast forward to now, I wanted to get my teeth back to how they were before. I am so excited to share my results after using the Smile Brilliant.
The Process
When I received my kit, I mixed the Base paste and Catalyst paste together to create my custom-fitted impressions. Work quickly because the paste does harden. I then sent them off to the lab in the pre-paid envelope. In a few days, I received my trays and I was ready to start whitening my teeth!
The dentist-strength whitening gel is placed in syringes. I would use about 1/4 of the syringe each use. I placed a strip of the gel on the trays, dry my teeth and put them on. You can wear them for 45 mins to 3 hours. I would only wear them for 45 mins. Tip: I would recommend flossing your teeth before whitening. This removes any plaque and allows the gel to get in between your teeth.
While I was whitening, I would take this time to do a facial mask, answer emails or write out my to do list for the following day. It was easy to incorporate into my nightly routine.
Once time’s up, you take them off and brush your teeth. I would then wear the desensitizing gel for about 15 mins just to make sure my teeth didn’t experience sensitivity. Don’t skip this step! I found this so helpful.
My Thoughts
I am loving the results! After about 14 days of use, I noticed a huge difference! The trays are extremely comfortable and fit perfectly. Another thing I would like to note is that this product is vegan and cruelty free! The customer service is also excellent. If I had any questions or concerns, I knew I could reach out to customer service and get the answers I was looking for. If you have been wanting to whiten your teeth but weren’t sure what to use, I highly recommend the Smile Brilliant at home whitening system.
